According to ABC affiliate WSYX, Myles Harris, who typically covers news in his hometown of Columbus, Ohio, was on a field reporting assignment for the station on Tuesday when his mother arrived unexpectedly and surprised him.
Harris’ major focus is on local news in Columbus, Ohio.
Fortunately, there was no interruption to the recording while the camera was rolling.
The reporter’s Instagram account released a video of the humorous exchange, in which Harris recognizes his mother before she appears onscreen.
The video had received over half a million views as of Wednesday afternoon.
